Petition To Reduce Light Pollution
Yes, I want to promote responsible outdoor lighting for the
Greater Baton Rouge Area that emphasizes the following
- Use Full Cut-off light fixtures (fixtures that allow light to point downward only) or shielded lights directing light to only where it is needed.
- Use a “warm” light – temperature rating of 3200k or less.
- Reducing the Sky Glow in Baton Rouge, and reaching a night time sky light measurement (SQM) of 20 magnitudes per square arc-second at HRPO.
